Code of Conduct

For Players and Parents

It is expected that the players and families of players who participate in Futsal by Dae programming will conduct themselves with the utmost respect for themselves, facilities, and others both on and off the playing field. Futsal by Dae coaching staff will not tolerate any derogatory conduct or unsportsmanlike behavior during training, practice sessions, camps, clinics, games, tournaments, or any other Futsal by Dae function or event.

As a player for Futsal by Dae I hereby promise to uphold the following Player’s Code of Conduct and Ethics:

1. I promise to maintain a positive attitude during all Futsal by Dae events, practices, and games.

2. I promise to be punctual and ready at the time that I am required to be present for all practices, training sessions, games, tournaments, and events.

3. I promise to be a team player and encourage my teammates during good times and bad times.

4. I promise to follow the directions of my coaches and trainers.

5. I promise to respect my teammates, coaches, trainers, and facilities that we are using for training and games.

6. I promise to respect and not criticize teammates, opposing players, coaches, and teams.

7. I promise to respect and not criticize or raise my voice to coaches, trainers or officials.

9.I promise that I will not use foul, inappropriate, racist, offensive, derogatory, or degrading language, gestures, or sounds while playing for Futsal by Dae.

11. I promise that I will not engage in any violent behavior, fighting, or flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct during any practice, training session, game, or tournament

or event.

12. I will respect all equipment and playing facilities and do my best to clean up after myself after training sessions and games.

13. I will accept victory AND defeat with dignity.

14. I will never take part in training sessions, games, or team events while under the influence of tobacco, drugs, and/or alcohol. This includes the use of vape pens

and marijuana.

15. I will not take part in any form of bullying, either to an opposing player or to a player on my team.

16. I will control my temper and, most of all, resist the temptation to retaliate when I feel I have been wronged.

SOCIAL MEDIA

SOCIAL Media or Social Networking is defined as communication through on-line communities of people, such as, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube, blogging, etc.

Inappropriate behavior over Social Media or Social Networking will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action being taken by Futsal by Dae. Disciplinary

Actions may include, but are not limited to, suspension, multi-game suspension , or, for severe infractions, suspension or release from Futsal by Dae.

Inappropriate use of social networking includes, but is not limited to:

1. Statements that are demeaning to Futsal by Dae, team personnel, its programs, its teams, players, members, staff, parents, opponents, sponsors or

any other person or entity associated with Futsal by Dae.

2. Sharing or the communication of confidential information that may include medical history, family situations, game plans, or strategies.

3. Sharing or posting sexually explicit photos, videos, or comments.

4. Sharing or posting photos, videos, or comments that promote negative influences or criminal behavior, including but not limited to physical violence, drug/alcohol use, or taken in areas prohibited by policy.

5. Sharing or posting photos, videos, or comments of anything inappropriate, derogatory, racist, or sexist of any kind.

CONSEQUENCES

I recognize that the Futsal by Dae and its coaches and staff, will handle infractions that occur during the game and outside of the game.

I recognize that some infractions that occur during the game are governed by the Laws of the Game and will be decided by the Match Official. The result may be a caution

(yellow card) or dismissal (red card), in which case there may be further action taken by Futsal by Dae, including suspensions or dismissal from the team.

If, for any reason the Player Code of Conduct is not followed by the player, any (one or more) of the following steps may be taken by the Futsal by Dae:

1. Disruption in playing time of the player(s); and/or suspend the player(s) for a period of time to be determined.

2. Removal of player(s) from the Team and Futsal by Dae.

3. Disrespect to the coach/trainer or displaying disruptive behavior during training or

practice sessions = sit out the remainder of practice and, depending on severity, will sit out the next scheduled game.

6. Purposely striking a teammate with a hand or foot to inflict harm during training and/or practice sessions = sit out the next

scheduled game, and depending on severity, suspension or removal from Futsal by Dae.

7. Disrespect towards a teammate during training and/or practice sessions = sit out the remainder of practice, and depending on severity, suspension or removal from

Futsal by Dae.

8. Disrespect towards a teammate during a game = sit out the remainder of the game and, depending on severity, suspension or removal from Futsal by Dae.

9. Disrespect towards the referee or assistant referees = substituted immediately, playing time reduced, or relegated completely.

10. Yellow card for disrespect towards the referee or assistant referees = sit out the remainder of the game.

11. Red card for disrespect towards the referee or assistant referees = automatic suspension and missing the following week’s game

12. Disrespect to Home or Opposing coaching staff = immediate substitution with playing time reduced.

13. Inappropriate, Foul, Racist, Degrading, or Derogatory language, gestures, or noises towards any person during a practice, game, tournament, or Futsal by Dae related event = removal from practice, activity, or game and, depending on severity, suspension or removal from Futsal by Dae.

14. Unsportsmanlike conduct on or off the field = up to one game suspension, depending on the severity of the infraction.

15. Social Media Infractions, as stated above, shall result in suspension or removal from the Futsal by Dae.
